When RocketResponder Went To The Beach...

RocketResponder video shoot at West Island Beach, Fairhaven, MA,

On a day trip to the beach it is good to take a photograph or two so you can remember how fun it all was.

When RocketResponder visited West Island Beach in Fairhaven, Massachusetts, yesterday we took great care to ensure that having awesome pictures would not be a problem.

We had stills cameras, video cameras, cameras mounted onto a remote controlled drone which buzzed overhead and a team of talented individuals to make it all work. There were the lights, boom microphones, a professional make up artist and people with clipboards…RocketResponder was on its first video shoot.

We arrived at a virtually deserted beach at 8.30am and I was wondering exactly how it would all work out.

Then over the next hour or so more and more people arrived and our section of beach was a hive of activity.

Soon about a dozen people were attaching cables to equipment, putting cameras on tripods and setting up monitors. Everyone had a task and everyone knew what they were doing.

I spent the day getting in people’s faces and taking close up pictures of other people at work. I love writing but I think, if I am being honest, I love photography more than I love writing.

It was especially great for me being around a small team of real professionals who really knew what they were doing and who were clearly passionate about their work.

Mike Henriques and his crew from Montage Media Productions – Neal, Pamela, Crystal and Myles – could not have been any more professional from start to finish.

Not only did they just have one day to shoot an entire promotional video, they were simultaneously working on a ‘behind the scenes’ video and finding the time to pass on some of their insider secrets to two interns.

Mike said on Facebook that “having a great team is crucial in putting together great productions” and we certainly had a great team for our big day out at the beach yesterday.

Film director Adam Katz ensured everything went exactly to plan, Kristin Greene was superb on makeup while our on-screen talent Carla and Lauren from Lita Sea Glass Jewelry and Carla’s daughter Layla carried out their roles flawlessly.

There is a saying in the TV and film industry that you should never work with children or animals but three-year-old Layla must be the exception to that general rule as she was so natural and at ease in front of a camera that everyone was amazed at how great she was.

I actually arranged my holiday this year so that I could be at this film shoot and I am so glad that I did. It was great meeting so many awesome people and I hope we can get to do it again sometime soon.

When I got back to my laptop after the day at the beach I discovered that I had taken 741 pictures.

Here is a selection of just some of them…

Found a piece…I will just pick up this sea glass while pretending nobody is filming my every move.

Getting it right…checking equipment and lighting between shots is critical to ensuring the finished product looks great.

Looking good…sea glass jewelry is elegant and each item is unique and stylish.

RocketResponder Video Shoot

Me…me…me. Who would like a go at flying the overhead camera drone next?

RocketResponder Video Shoot

In the air…If you spin me fast enough I might get to fly too.

RocketResponder Video Shoot

Team work…flying the overhead drone, operating the camera and directing the shot takes teamwork.

RocketResponder Video Shoot

Human climbing frame…after a busy day filming there is nothing better than to climb all over adults.

RocketResponder Video Shoot

All smiles…the big day out at the beach went well enough to make Justin smile.

RocketResponder video shoot.

Quick touch up…Make up artist Kristin Greene gets to work during a short filming break.

Reflecting on the day…even on a busy film shoot there is time for a bit of reflection.

RocketResponder video shoot.

Family time…mother and daughter take a few moments to enjoy the beach while on the film set.

RocketResponder video shoot.

Open handed. We would like some sea glass too. Surely there is enough to go round?

RocketResponder video shoot.

Unique…not only does sea glass look great, no two items are the same.

RocketResponder video shoot.

It’s all in hand…make up was always on hand during the beach video shoot.

RocketResponder video shoot.

Getting down to work…camera angles are important and a lot of the close up work was done just inches away from the sand.

RocketResponder Video Shoot

Thirsty work…I know my mouth is here somewhere.

How To Unsubscribe RocketResponder Subscribers Using Gmail Labels

Using Zapier to unsubscribe RocketResponder subscribers using Gmail Labels

There will be occasions when you want to unsubscribe people from your mailing list.

You may not have given much thought to the idea of actually unsubscribing people from your list(s) but it is actually a good idea.

A lot of email marketing software providers – especially the ones which charge users per subscriber – don’t encourage customers to unsubscribe people from their mailing lists at all.

However what is the point of sending your email marketing messages to people who no longer want to receive them?

A smaller, more targeted list, is far better than a larger list which is less responsive because many of the subscribers have lost interest over time.

A lot of people will unsubscribe themselves from your list when they no longer want to hear from you but some will reply to your emails and ask you to do it for them.

Another reason you might want to unsubscribe someone is if they keep generating those annoying vacation or auto reply message that flood your inbox every time you send an email.

Now with Zapier you can create an Unsubscribe label within Gmail. Anytime you label an email Unsubscribe, it will automatically remove the person from your list.

Unsubscribe RocketResponder subscribers via Gmail

When a subscriber replies to one of your emails and asks to be unsubscribed, you can easily unsubscribe them within Gmail using Zapier.

How It Works

  1. Create a new label in Gmail called Unsubscribe

  2. When a user asks to be unsubscribed, apply the Unsubscribe label to that email

  3. Zapier automatically notifies RocketResponder to unsubscribe them from your list

What You Need

  • Gmail account

  • RocketResponder account

BONUS: Now that Zapier has published our RocketResponder apps as public, we can setup shared Zaps. So if you click here you can setup your label in easy steps, rather than manually doing it.

Schedule Email Reminders Based On Future Events With RocketResponder

Email reminders from RocketResponder

With RocketResponder you can now send out emails to your subscribers to remind them about important upcoming events.

This could be anything from sending out a “Happy Birthday” message to reminding subscribers that they have an upcoming appointment or event to attend.

Traditionally a series of email messages is sent out to all of the subscribers on your list(s) based on the date that the subscriber signed up.

However with RocketResponder Reminders you can also send emails to individual members on your list(s) based upon an event which will happen in the future.

There are so many different ways this service can be used and it will have uses across many thousands of different niches where email marketing can be used.

Here are some examples of how to use RocketResponder Reminders:

Birthday Reminders

You can do anything from just wishing your subscribers “Happy Birthday” to sending them a special birthday discount offer or free gift.

Sending a birthday greeting or offer is a great way of showing your subscribers that you care about them and that you treat them as individuals rather than just names on a mailing list.

Medical Appointments

If you are a doctor, dentist, chiropractic, optician etc. then you can send your patients email reminders based on when their next scheduled appointment is due.

Just like regular subscriber lists you can schedule a series of emails to go out based on a future event.

So if one of your subscribers has a visit to your dental surgery for treatment you might want to send a Reminder Email series like this:

ten days before appointment – remind your subscriber about the time and location of the appointment and provide your contact details in case they have any questions. Give them information of the steps they must take if they want to reschedule.

three days before appointment – send another email about the appointment and include information about what they might need to do in advance or what they will need to bring with them or wear. For example it might be that it is important that the patient does not eat anything for a period of time before the surgery is due to take place or there may be forms or paperwork they need to bring with them.

the day before the appointment – time to send another reminder that the surgery is taking place tomorrow.

Subscripition Renewals

If your subscribers have recurring subscriptions with you then you might want to remind them of upcoming billing renewals.

This is a good time to send a series of emails reminding your subscribers of all the great benefits they have from their subscription so that you encourage more people to renew rather than allow their subscription to lapse.

Also consider giving subscribers an extra push to renew early maybe with a discount or extra month free.

Hotel bookings

Remind your customers of their upcoming booking, maybe include information about what people can do in the locality or give information about the services and facilities at your hotel.

Flight/holiday bookings

Remind your clients about their upcoming flight or holiday. This might be a good time to remind them that they might need holiday money, an up-to-date passport or travel insurance.

Car servicing/repairs

RocketResponder Reminders are ideal for situations like this. Your clients may welcome the reminder and it is good for your business by helping ensure that more people keep their appointments rather than have to reschedule because it slipped their mind.

Like everything else with RocketResponder we have kept Reminders as simple to use as possible without the need for any steep learning curve.

The examples above are only a small selection of how Reminders can work but those are just a small selection of how it can be used.

Here is how it works:

Writing the email reminders

Choose an existing list to create the reminder series of emails or create a new list and write your reminder email series – you can write just one email or several emails, it is totally up to you.

Email reminders from RocketResponder

You can be more creative with the subject lines than we were in the screenshot above. How many emails you choose to send and how many days before the event that you send them is totally up to you.

Sending the email reminders

sending email reminders is easy with RocketResponder Reminders

Remember that unlike sending broadcast messages or the regular email series to your subscribers, the reminders go to just one member and not your entire list.

To send a reminder, click on the “Add reminder” tab, and then choose the list which contains the reminder email(s) you want to send.

Next enter the name and email address of the person you want to receive the reminders, set the target date and click save.

Now that person will get the reminder emails ahead of the event which you want to remind them about.

Note that there is a ‘Repeat Yearly’ checkbox where you want the reminder to be sent at the same time every year, such as for birthday greetings.

Email Marketing For Churches

https://www.rocketresponder.com/email-marketing-for-churches

More and more churches are discovering that email marketing is a fast, efficient and really cost-effective way of getting their message across to their congregations.

Email marketing for churches allows your church to reach more people than ever before, which will help both to attract new members and keep existing members informed and in touch with what is going on.

Simple, modern communication.

RocketResponder is an automated email service which has been designed with with churches in mind. We have set up a communications solution that is easy to understand, simple to use, very cost effective and highly efficient.

There is no difficult programming or coding required to use RocketResponder and, in fact, if you can send a regular email, then you should have no problem using our email marketing software.

In this modern age with so many competing demands on our time, many people overlook religion. Some have no time for religion but there are others who would happily join a church…if only they had a gentle nudge or two in the right direction.

Waiting for people to come to you means you are missing out on so many people who just can’t find the time to visit your church and find out what you have to offer.

With email marketing you don’t have to wait for people to come to you. In addition you are totally in control about the message you send out. For example you could tell potential new worshipers about the ethos of your church, where you stand on certain issues, your style of worship, community involvement, dress codes and so much more.

In fact, just think of the sort of things you tell to potential new worshipers time and time again. These subjects could make a series of emails which could go out to people in the days or weeks after they sign up to your subscribers list.

You only have to write the emails once and then when each new person subscribes to your list, they automatically get the entire email series without the need for any more action on your part.

RocketResponder is not only good at getting your message out to potential new members, it can also go a long way to help making existing members feel part of a caring and compassionate community where they are valued and respected.

When someone new joins your church you could send a welcome email, then another giving the details and times of services and another giving them details of the next event where new members are encouraged to attend.

These days email marketing is no longer exclusively used by marketers, but by wide and varied groups who want to connect with their communities.

Email Marketing For Churches

Where do my subscribers come from?

It is a lot easier than you might think to attract new subscribers to your email list. One of the best ways is by putting a simple form on your website where you ask people to send you their name and email address.

You will be surprised how many people will sign up to get more information from you. While they may not take the time to call or visit you, they will often be more than happy for you to contact them and send them information to their email inbox.

If your church has a blog then that is another great place to get visitors to subscribe to your list. The same goes for social media sites and for the newsletters or information sheets that are given out at each service.

Email marketing for churches is very flexible

You can create different email lists for different groups of people. This allows you to send one series of messages to potential members, another for new members and yet another for existing members.

Sending out emails in advance of regular worship services is a really great way of using email to help boost your attendances. These emails could include some information about the theme of the service or some questions that members might like to ponder to prepare themselves for the service.

Regular newsletters, transcripts of sermons, community events, prayer lists and devotional guides are all subjects which are ideally communicated by email.

Special events, fundraising campaigns, requests for volunteers or highlighting particular members of the congregation are also subjects where your congregation would love to hear from you.

Email marketing for churches is yet another way to build relations between your church and its membership base so that the entire community is more cohesive and becomes stronger in its faith.

Using email to introduce the leadership of your church and key members of the congregation, with contact details and social media links, where appropriate, is a great way of making new members feel welcome.

Doing the same thing to announce important changes to the leadership, meetings or special events, will ensure that all of the congregation are kept informed of key developments.

Email marketing for churchesUsing RocketResponder is about as simple as using regular email. You can send really impressive emails using our templates which allow your emails to look visually striking without needing to learn any complex code.

Just drag and drop the elements you want into the designer, write what you want to say and the job is done. (Note that if you prefer to send plain, regular text email then you can do that too.)

There are no hidden surprises with RocketResponder. We have one low flat monthly fee and this stays the same no matter how many emails you send or how many subscribers you add to your list. This makes setting budgets easy because you know ahead of time what the service will cost.

Email Marketing For Restaurants

email marketing for restaurantsThere are some customers who are regulars and others who may visit your restaurant only once or twice in their lives.

By using email marketing, it is possible increase your profits from both of these groups by encouraging your regular and occasional customers to come back and eat with you more often.

Quite often, eating out is a rather spur-of-the-moment decision and the choice of venue can be surprisingly random.

“Let’s try that new restaurant in town,” or “I fancy eating out somewhere” are commonly heard phrases when it comes to eating out.

Your job as a restaurant owner or manager is to encourage people to come to your restaurant when they are considering eating out.

This task is made so much easier if your potential diners are actually thinking about your restaurant…and that is where using an automated email marketing service like RocketResponder comes in.

By sending emails directly to people’s inboxes, containing information about your current offers, specials, discounts, deals and menus, your potential customers have your establishment at the forefront of their minds.

RocketResponder - Email Marketing for Restaurants and Restaurant Owners

But isn’t this spam?

Well if you just randomly target individuals with your marketing messages then it is spam, but if you get their permission to contact them then it is not.

The good news is that it is surprisingly easy to get people’s permission for you to email them with your news and offers about your restaurant.

Many of your customers would welcome the chance of receiving regular emails from you…all they need is for you to ask.

How it works?

Customers sign up to your RocketResponder subscriber list, where they can receive a series of emails about your business. What is so great about this system, is that as soon as anyone new joins your list, they get the emails you have already written.

There is amazing time efficiency here because you write the emails once and then they go out to everyone who signs up, without anyone ever being missed out.

In addition each time you have something new to say – such as introducing a new menu or a seasonal offer – then you write just one email and it goes to everyone on your subscriber list.

You can encourage people to sign up in many different ways. Some tried and trusted methods include having an opt in form on your website where you ask people to leave their name and email address in order to receive news and offers from you.

Add an email sign up form to comment cards you present to diners with their checks, on your menus and with take away orders. Asking diners to subscribe to your list when they book online is also another great way of adding subscribers to your list.

Remember that everyone who is on your list is there because they want to receive offers from you. They are inviting you to tell them more about your restaurant and why they should come back again to sample your food.

By using email marketing in this way you can nurture a growing base of repeat customers and this is great because it will help increase your income and profit.

Repeat and regular customers have zero cost of acquisition and can often act as unpaid sales members as they are the most likely group of people to recommend your restaurant to friends, co-workers and family members.

RocketResponder has been designed to be simple and easy to use and it also allows you to send out stunning emails without needing any design skills at all.

You can import pictures of your food to our drag and drop template system and use both words and pictures to sell your restaurant and tempt customers back again.

Rocket Responder - Email Marketing for Restaurants

Email Marketing For Real Estate Agents

Email marketing for real estate agentsEmail Marketing For Real Estate Agents: In the real estate industry, getting information out to clients in a timely manner can make all the difference.

It is an industry where communication is as vital to your success as is your knowledge about buying and selling property.

It is no longer good enough to wait for clients to come to you, because that is one sure method to be left behind in a highly competitive marketplace.

These days email marketing is an essential tool for real estate agents and, very often, a preferred method of communication with clients and potential new clients.

Not only it is an ideal way of effectively marketing the properties on your books but it is also an amazingly effective method of marketing your business.

An automated email service, such as RocketResponder, is also an invaluable tool for attracting new clients and obtaining more income from existing clients.

It will also allow you to effectively promote your business, help set you apart from the competition and allow you to be seen as a trusted adviser to your clients.

Attracting New Clients

Let’s face it, there is a lot of competition out there, so every new customer counts and they are not afraid to shop around.

Most of your potential new customers will want to know many of the same things…what you can do for them? how experienced you are in the market? will you will do a good job for them? how efficient are you? can you be trusted? and so on.

You have probably explained these things to people over and over again, but have you considered how email marketing could be of huge benefit to get these messages to your potential new customers?

With RocketResponder you could write a series of emails covering the things that new clients really want to know when deciding on where to place their business.

You do the work once and the emails are sent out to every potential new client who signs up to your email list.

Once the emails are written, there is no more work needed on your part and everybody who joins your email list will receive the information they need about your business.

When email marketing like this is done correctly, then it can really help you convert potential leads into new customers.

Gaining More Income From Existing Clients

Email marketing is also great for informing and reminding existing clients about the full range of services that you provide.

Timely reminders, sent via email, can be that final push that is needed for a customer to take an additional service that might otherwise have slipped their mind (or gone to a competitor).

You can embed links in your emails to take subscribers to the precise page you want them to visit, such as a sales page for the service you are promoting.

Here is an example of one of our many email templates which can be customized with drag-and-drop simplicity:

Email marketing for real estate agents -RocketResponder template example

Promoting your business

Email marketing will allow you to effectively communicate with an audience which has already shown an interest in what you have to say.

Remember that people will sign up for your email list to receive offers, information, details of properties they may be interested in, insider news, time saving tips and much more.

Use email marketing to promote your business and explain why you should be the first choice for the customers you are targeting.

Setting Your Business Apart From The Competition

RocketResponder can help set you apart from the competition by allowing you to give everyone the personal touch they really crave.

You can also showcase your expertise in the market and the knowledge and helpfulness of your staff by sending emails which help your client and, at the same time, highlight the qualities that make you the right choice for buyers and sellers.

The great news is that this does not take up lots of your valuable time because the system is highly automated and about as easy to use as sending regular email.

Become a Trusted Adviser

Building up trust with your customers is probably more important in the real estate industry than many others.

Write emails specifically aimed at buyers, sellers and renters so that your advice is always relevant to your target market.

Moving home can be a highly stressful time and your clients will want to be 100% assured that you will get everything right.

The pointers above gave just some of the ways why using RocketResponder for your email marketing will boost your business and help you gain trust among your client base.

Email Marketing For Small Businesses

Email Marketing For Small Businesses with RocketResponder

If you run a small business then everything you can do to attract new customers and retain existing ones will help your long-term profitability.

One really powerful way of getting the very best out of your customers is email marketing. This is why RocketResponder has taken a lot of care to look at how it provides email marketing for small businesses.

If your competitors are using email marketing and you are not then they may very well be generating more customer spend than you are.

Some reasons that small business owners give for not using email marketing include:

– It sounds too complicated for me, I don’t want to have to learn something new.

– I don’t have time for email marketing because I am too busy running my business.

– I don’t know how to use email marketing. What would I even write about?

– It is just another cost to spiral out of control.

At RocketResponder we know that these are all very real concerns which is why we decided to make email marketing for small businesses simple, quick and easy to use with a fixed price plan so that costs can never spiral out of control.

We know how important email marketing is to small businesses which is why we have come up with a solution which business owners can confidently use to boost their interaction with customers.

Is It Really Not Complicated?

Using RocketResponder is not complicated at all. In fact if you can send regular email then you can use our software to communicate with your entire customer database.

RocketResponder - Email Marketing for Small Businesses

Choose one of our stunning templates and just drag and drop images and text blocks into the email to get a professionally looking email composed without needing to know any coding skills at all.

It might look something like this…

RocketResponder - Email Marketing For Small Businesses

Or this…

An example of a RocketResponder email template

If you prefer you can just send out a simple, text only email without any fancy graphics at all…the choice is totally yours.

One of our top priorities was ensuring that RocketResponder was not difficult to use. It is as simple as writing your email, deciding which list(s) you want to send it to and then choosing when you want to send it.

We also understand that with any new system, people will sometimes run into difficulties so when you need help we are there to get your problem solved quickly and efficiently. This is both easy and fun to use.

But I still don’t have time for email marketing…

There is one thing that virtually all of your customers will have in common…they will want information about the goods or services you provide.

RocketResponder allows you to ensure that every customer gets high quality information from you as soon as they subscribe to your list.

Here’s how it works.

You write a series of emails which will be received by all new customers over a period of days, weeks or months after they subscribe to receive information from you.

These could include a welcome email where you thank them for subscribing, an email introducing yourself and your business, one explaining how they can contact you and where they can get help if things go wrong, another about what set’s you apart, an email or two with useful information about the niche you operate in…that sort of thing.

Just choose the topics you would like to read about if you were a new customer to your business and start writing. (If you don’t like the thought of writing emails, you can outsource this to someone else for very little cost.)

You only have to write these emails once, decide the time interval you want them to be delivered and then every time a new subscriber signs up to your email list they will get the emails delivered without any further work needed on your part.

No customer is missed out and everything you want them to know about your business is communicated to them without you having to interrupt your working day for a moment.

You can also send emails out to your entire list whenever you want…such as when you have an offer or promotion you want to highlight or a special time-limited deal on your website or in store.

RocketResponder is designed to allow efficient communication with your customers while taking up as little of your time as possible.

I still don’t know what to write about…

The section above gave some suggestions about to the kinds of things you could send out in your emails.

If you still need some ideas then just think of the questions that your customers ask all the time.

Is there some advice that new customers want time and time again or some particular information about the products or services you offer? If so, then write about that.

You could send out a regular newsletter to your subscribers, give tips and hints about the industry you work in, use RocketResponder to give exclusive discount codes to your subscribers or to alert them first on red hot offers you have coming up.

Once you start thinking about it you will come up with many ideas for ways to use email to communicate with your customers and potential customers.

I am worried about another uncontrolled business expense…

You can stop worrying. We know that small business owners like to know what their business expenses are going to be ahead of time…so we have taken care of that.

Most email marketing services set their charges based on how many subscribers have joined their list…the more subscribers you attract then the more you pay in monthly fees.

Others will charge based on how many emails you send out and with these price plans it is impossible to calculate how much you will pay in advance.

RocketResponder is much simpler than all that. There is one small monthly flat fee which stays the same regardless of how many people you add to your list or how often you communicate with your subscribers.

Business owners have told us that price certainty is something that is important to them and we have listened.

Small Businesses thrive off repeat customers. People have busy lives and your customers will need to be reminded to comeback and buy from you. The best way to do this is through email.

RocketResponder is like having a sales person who works for you 24 hours a day 7 days a week and who never needs to receive a pay check.
