Email Marketing For Website Owners

If you have a website then there is one thing you need more than anything else…repeat visits from highly targeted and interested individuals.

With around one billion websites live on the internet right now, there is no point in just hoping people are going to come to you.

Also with increasing demands on our time, even if someone finds your site and likes it, there is no guarantee that they will come back if left to their own devices.

These days people need a nudge in the right direction. In fact they need constant nudges in the right direction and that is where email marketing comes in.

RocketResponder is designed to allow you to give your subscribers regular reminders that your website is there and that they really might like to visit it.

The great thing is that people really appreciate these reminders and many of them will take the action that you suggest in your emails.

It works because you are only selecting people who are already interested in your website or in the goods or services that you sell.

Subscribers will happily give you their email address and agree to receive marketing emails from you if they feel that they are getting something of value in return.

Generally that something of value is your knowledge and expertise. People will subscribe to your email list if you offer them something of real value.

Say, for example, that your website is all about cat care products for pedigree cats. Well the chances are that you are an expert in this area and that you know exactly how to meet the needs of people who are looking for such products.

Email Marketing For Website Owners

You will already be promoting your website to drive targeted traffic to it as part of your regular marketing efforts.

The next step is to build up an email list of these targeted leads so that you can tell them about any special offers, promotions and new products that you may have.

The idea is that you want these people to buy from you rather than from a rival website owner and an email to their inbox could be just the trigger that is needed to get yourself the sale.

One of the best ways to get them is to offer a free report or guide in return for being able to send promotional and marketing emails to your subscribers.

Taking the previous example again, some possible ideas could be:

– The Top Five Things Your Top Cat Will Love You For

– Three Mistakes To Avoid When Buying Cat Care Products

– The Complete Guide To Caring For Your Pedigree Cat

Now all you have to do is write a report, put a download form on your website and you will soon be building up a list of subscribers.

When sending emails, keep up the theme of providing useful information, such as via a regular newsletter or question and answer series, where you address commonly asked questions that keep cropping up.

Mix in promotional emails with these informational emails (or do both in one email if you prefer) and you will keep your website in the minds of your potential customers as well as your existing customers.

Email Marketing For Website Owners

This means that when they want to make a purchase, they are more likely to buy from you than from a competitor.

You will soon find that regular communication with your subscribers is a vital part of your online business and is one of the most effective ways of building up trust and securing vital repeat customers who are also likely to recommend you to their friends and colleagues.

As you send out more emails you are building trust between you and your subscribers, establishing yourself as an authority figure in your niche and increasing brand awareness.

RocketResponder has been designed with people like you in mind and it allows to manage all your subscriber lists from one place.

It is user-friendly, intuitive and does not take up much time.

There are also no hidden surprises with RocketResponder. We have one low flat monthly fee and this stays the same no matter how many emails you send or how many subscribers you add to your list. This makes setting budgets easy because you know ahead of time what the service will cost.

Email Marketing For Lawyers

The relationship between lawyer and client is one of trust and discretion.

The problem is that for many, when seeking a new lawyer, it is difficult to know who to trust with your legal problems.

Not only that, but it can be hard to work out whether the lawyer you are considering is actually good at their job or is someone you will want to trust and open up to.

As a lawyer you want people to trust you and you have only a short time to win people over before they consider moving onto the next name on their list.

When used properly, email can be a surprisingly good way of quickly building up a relationship with potential new clients and for strengthening relationships with existing clients.

Email marketing for lawyers, such as provided by RocketResponder, is a quick and efficient way of using email to communicate with both prospective and existing clients.

It lets you give people the reasons they need to feel secure enough to choose you for their legal needs.

What’s more it allows you to take a very personal approach with your clients but without the excessive time demands that such an approach would involve without the use of automated email marketing.

RocketResponder can give you an edge over the competition by allowing you to give everyone who inquires about the services you offer, a personal touch but without it eating away at your precious time.

You can use automated email marketing to highlight your expertise, skills and the services you offer by sending regular emails which are helpful, informative and highlight the qualities that make you the right choice for potential clients.

Email Marketing For Lawyers

Email marketing works by people signing up to your email list – typically by an opt in form on your website – where they provide their name and email address in return for some specific information or report.

The information you provide must be relevant and useful to the specific type of clients you are targeting. For example if you only handle commercial law then you don’t want to spend time fielding inquiries from people looking for a criminal lawyer.

The report could be something like:

  • Seven Things You Must Know Before Signing Any Legal Document

  • The Three Mistakes To Avoid When Choosing A Family Lawyer

  • How To Sue Someone For Money They Owe You

  • What You Should Always Ask Your Lawyer

  • Seven Ways To Save Money On Legal Bills

Or you might say: “Enter your name and email address to sign up for our monthly newsletter and learn more about the range of services we offer.”

You will find that people will happily give your their email address if they receive some useful information in return.

Think about the questions you, or your staff, get asked every day and the amount of time that is spent explaining the same information over and over again.

Using email allows you to answer these questions in a series of emails which goes out to prospective clients while, at the same time, explaining exactly why they should choose you to look after their legal needs.

Email Marketing for Lawyers 1

A prospective client will feel great that you have taken the time to anticipate the types of questions they have and that you have addressed them.

At the same time you come across as warm, friendly and welcoming which is exactly what new clients will need to feel when they are deciding whether to trust you with their legal affairs.

This approach also works to build up trust with your existing clients. Sending information and advice -type emails will not only be welcome but if your clients need help with these issues then they are likely to associate you with the help they need.

RocketResponder will also allow you to use email to do a whole host of other things which will help you grow your legal practice.

For example you can send out regular newsletters, schedule appointment reminders, ask for feedback and alert people to important changes in the law which they need to know about.

Our system has been designed with busy professionals like you in mind so that either you, or a member of your staff, can manage your email communications with ease and without taking up too much time.

There are no hidden surprises with RocketResponder. We have one low flat monthly fee and this stays the same no matter how many emails you send or how many subscribers you add to your list. This makes setting budgets easy because you know ahead of time what the service will cost.

Email Marketing For Doctors

Patient care is about more than just treating the medical needs of people…it is also about understanding them as people and as individuals.

Many patients want to be reassured that not only are you good at what you do, but that you have good people skills too and take an interest in their lives.

In an ideal world you could spend as much time as you would like with any given patient, but time pressures are very real and there is often not enough hours in the day to get everything done as it is.

It may not sound obvious at first…but this is where email marketing for doctors can really come into its own.

RocketResponder can set you apart from the competition by allowing you to give everyone the personal touch but without it eating away at your precious time.

It will allow you to showcase your expertise, skills and range of services you offer by sending regular emails which are helpful, informative and highlight the qualities that make you the right choice for your patients.

Email marketing can help you bring in new patients and also encourage existing patients to come in more regularly for health check ups by reminding them of the importance of looking after their health.

It works by encouraging people to sign up to your email list – typically by an opt in form on your website or by people giving you their email address when they call into your office or contact you by phone for information.

You might offer a free report which people can download in return for their email address. Something like…”Six Simple Things You Can Do Today To Reduce Your Risk of Heart Disease,” for example.

Or you might say: “Enter your name and email address to sign up for our monthly newsletter and learn more about the range of services we offer.”

You will find that people will happily give your their email address if they receive some useful information in return.

Email marketing for doctors allows you to handle your regular patient email communications in a virtually automated system so that your existing and prospective patients get the information they need while you and your staff get on with other work.

Think about the questions you, or your staff, get asked every day and the amount of time that is spent explaining the same information over and over again.

Email Marketing For Doctors with RocketResponder

With RocketResponder’s email marketing for dectors you can write a series of emails covering all the basic information people need and then everyone who joins your mailing list gets the information they want…without any more work needed from you or your staff.

Imagine how valued someone would feel if they inquired about the services you offered and was given a series of, say half-a-dozen friendly and welcoming emails when they signed up for more information.

You could explain in these emails, how you understand not only your patients needs but that you are also very much aware of their possible fears and anxieties.

You might explain the sort of treatments you provide, how you do more than just issue a prescription and move on to the next patient and answer any  commonly asked questions.

RocketResponder will also allow you to use email to do a whole host of other things which will help you grow your practice while looking after your patients better.

You can send out regular newsletters, schedule appointment reminders, ask for feedback and even send your patients messages on their birthdays (a great opportunity to remind them to have an annual health check up for example).

Our system has been designed with busy professionals like you in mind so that either you, or a member of your staff, can manage your email communications with ease and without taking up too much time.

Email Marketing For Dentists

When it comes to dentistry there is generally one major obstacle to overcome…patients don’t generally look forward to a trip to the dentist.

Some will wait until they are in so much pain they can put if off no longer while others will go if they have to but will always look for excuses not to.

As a dentist, overcoming the reluctance of a large percentage of your target market is often the first hurdle you will need to overcome when building up and sustaining your client base.

Email marketing can help you transform reluctant patients into those who understand the importance of frequent oral health check ups and keeping to a regular appointment schedule.

Fear of visiting the dentist – also known as  odontophobia or dentophobia – is very real indeed for a lot of people.

It has been estimated that up to 75 per cent of the US population have “some degree of dental fear, from mild to severe” and that five to ten per cent of US adults avoid dental care at all costs. (source: Wikipedia – dental fear.)

Dental Tribune reports that in Europe as a whole, an average of 10 per cent of the population suffer from significant dental phobia.

This widespread fear of dentists is why you should be making the most of email marketing for dentists.

It would be good if you could sit down with every potential new client, listen to their fears and reassure them that their worries can safely be laid to rest.

The main problem with this approach is that it is so time consuming that you would never have any time left to actually treat your patients.

Email marketing for dentists allows you to explain how you understand your patients’ fears and concerns and to explain how a visit to the dentist may not be the traumatic experience that so many people think it will be.

It also allows you to do this in a virtually automated system so that your prospective patients are getting the information they need to make an informed choice about their dental care, while you can treat your existing patients.

Think about the questions you, or your staff, get asked every day and the amount of time you that the same information has to be given out.

Email marketing for dentists

With RocketResponder’s email marketing for dentists you can write a series of emails covering all the basic information people need and then everyone who joins your mailing list gets the information they need…without any more work needed from you or your staff.

Imagine how valued someone would feel if they inquired about the services you offered and was given a series of, say half-a-dozen friendly and welcoming emails when they signed up for more information.

You could explain in these emails, how you understand not only your patients needs but that you are also very much aware of their possible fears and anxieties about visiting a dentist.

You might explain the sort of treatments you provide, highlight medical advances which have served to make dental treatment virtually pain free and answer commonly asked questions.

RocketResponder will also allow you to use email to do a whole host of other things which will help you grow your practice while looking after your patients better.

You can send out regular newsletters, schedule appointment reminders, ask for feedback and even send your patients greetings on their birthdays.

Our system has been designed with busy professionals like you in mind so that either you, or a member of your staff, can manage your email communications with ease and without taking up too much time.

Using email like this would be great for showing before and after images or pictures of the latest treatments or equipment which you use.

Generally the more people know about what is going to happen to them the more relaxed and at ease they will feel.

Emails ahead of planned treatment explaining the procedure that the patient is about to undergo could go a long way towards calming nerves.

Email Marketing For Chiropractors

RocketResponder Email Marketing for Chiropractors

There are many potential clients out there who have absolutely no idea what a chiropractor does or how they could benefit from using the services of a chiropractor.

Other people may have some vague notion that it concerns the treatment of back pain but know little more than that.

There are others who may be put off by phrases such as “alternative medicine” or “complimentary medicine” or who are influenced by reports online or in the press questioning whether the treatments are safe or worthwhile.

All of these groups of people are potential clients who could go on to become actual clients if they had access to the relevant information.

By using RocketResponder to reach out to these people, you can build up a list of subscribers who want to learn more about what a chiropractor does and how their treatments could benefit them.

RocketResponder allows you to write a series of highly targeted emails which can cover all the main points that keep cropping up so that you don’t keep have to give exactly the same information to each potential new client.

It can also help you educate and inform existing clients, set you up as a trusted advisor and allow you to promote the treatments you offer.

How it works

When people sign up to your RocketResponder subscriber list, they will receive a series of emails which will cover the key information they need to know.

So, for example, new patients may benefit from a general overview of the profession and the most common symptoms which can be treated. You could also include information about the treatments you offer, your medical background and the areas in which you specialize.

The great thing about RocketResponder’s email marketing system is that you write the emails once and they automatically go out to everyone who joins your list without any more work needed on your part.

In addition, whenever you have something new to say – such as explaining a new treatment or special price plan – then you write just one email and it goes to everyone on your subscriber list.

You can encourage people to sign up in many different ways including having an opt in form on your website or by asking people to leave their name and email address when they call or visit for information.

By using email marketing in this way, you can both win over skeptical clients and encourage existing clients to use your services more often.

With RocketResponder you can also use email marketing to ask for feedback, promote your social media sites, conduct quick polls and surveys, send out tips and advice and to create exclusive offers for your subscribers.

RocketResponder is like having a sales person who works for you 24 hours a day 7 days a week and who never needs to receive a pay check.

Email Marketing For Churches

https://www.rocketresponder.com/email-marketing-for-churches

More and more churches are discovering that email marketing is a fast, efficient and really cost-effective way of getting their message across to their congregations.

Email marketing for churches allows your church to reach more people than ever before, which will help both to attract new members and keep existing members informed and in touch with what is going on.

Simple, modern communication.

RocketResponder is an automated email service which has been designed with with churches in mind. We have set up a communications solution that is easy to understand, simple to use, very cost effective and highly efficient.

There is no difficult programming or coding required to use RocketResponder and, in fact, if you can send a regular email, then you should have no problem using our email marketing software.

In this modern age with so many competing demands on our time, many people overlook religion. Some have no time for religion but there are others who would happily join a church…if only they had a gentle nudge or two in the right direction.

Waiting for people to come to you means you are missing out on so many people who just can’t find the time to visit your church and find out what you have to offer.

With email marketing you don’t have to wait for people to come to you. In addition you are totally in control about the message you send out. For example you could tell potential new worshipers about the ethos of your church, where you stand on certain issues, your style of worship, community involvement, dress codes and so much more.

In fact, just think of the sort of things you tell to potential new worshipers time and time again. These subjects could make a series of emails which could go out to people in the days or weeks after they sign up to your subscribers list.

You only have to write the emails once and then when each new person subscribes to your list, they automatically get the entire email series without the need for any more action on your part.

RocketResponder is not only good at getting your message out to potential new members, it can also go a long way to help making existing members feel part of a caring and compassionate community where they are valued and respected.

When someone new joins your church you could send a welcome email, then another giving the details and times of services and another giving them details of the next event where new members are encouraged to attend.

These days email marketing is no longer exclusively used by marketers, but by wide and varied groups who want to connect with their communities.

Email Marketing For Churches

Where do my subscribers come from?

It is a lot easier than you might think to attract new subscribers to your email list. One of the best ways is by putting a simple form on your website where you ask people to send you their name and email address.

You will be surprised how many people will sign up to get more information from you. While they may not take the time to call or visit you, they will often be more than happy for you to contact them and send them information to their email inbox.

If your church has a blog then that is another great place to get visitors to subscribe to your list. The same goes for social media sites and for the newsletters or information sheets that are given out at each service.

Email marketing for churches is very flexible

You can create different email lists for different groups of people. This allows you to send one series of messages to potential members, another for new members and yet another for existing members.

Sending out emails in advance of regular worship services is a really great way of using email to help boost your attendances. These emails could include some information about the theme of the service or some questions that members might like to ponder to prepare themselves for the service.

Regular newsletters, transcripts of sermons, community events, prayer lists and devotional guides are all subjects which are ideally communicated by email.

Special events, fundraising campaigns, requests for volunteers or highlighting particular members of the congregation are also subjects where your congregation would love to hear from you.

Email marketing for churches is yet another way to build relations between your church and its membership base so that the entire community is more cohesive and becomes stronger in its faith.

Using email to introduce the leadership of your church and key members of the congregation, with contact details and social media links, where appropriate, is a great way of making new members feel welcome.

Doing the same thing to announce important changes to the leadership, meetings or special events, will ensure that all of the congregation are kept informed of key developments.

Email marketing for churchesUsing RocketResponder is about as simple as using regular email. You can send really impressive emails using our templates which allow your emails to look visually striking without needing to learn any complex code.

Just drag and drop the elements you want into the designer, write what you want to say and the job is done. (Note that if you prefer to send plain, regular text email then you can do that too.)

There are no hidden surprises with RocketResponder. We have one low flat monthly fee and this stays the same no matter how many emails you send or how many subscribers you add to your list. This makes setting budgets easy because you know ahead of time what the service will cost.

Email Marketing For Restaurants

email marketing for restaurantsThere are some customers who are regulars and others who may visit your restaurant only once or twice in their lives.

By using email marketing, it is possible increase your profits from both of these groups by encouraging your regular and occasional customers to come back and eat with you more often.

Quite often, eating out is a rather spur-of-the-moment decision and the choice of venue can be surprisingly random.

“Let’s try that new restaurant in town,” or “I fancy eating out somewhere” are commonly heard phrases when it comes to eating out.

Your job as a restaurant owner or manager is to encourage people to come to your restaurant when they are considering eating out.

This task is made so much easier if your potential diners are actually thinking about your restaurant…and that is where using an automated email marketing service like RocketResponder comes in.

By sending emails directly to people’s inboxes, containing information about your current offers, specials, discounts, deals and menus, your potential customers have your establishment at the forefront of their minds.

RocketResponder - Email Marketing for Restaurants and Restaurant Owners

But isn’t this spam?

Well if you just randomly target individuals with your marketing messages then it is spam, but if you get their permission to contact them then it is not.

The good news is that it is surprisingly easy to get people’s permission for you to email them with your news and offers about your restaurant.

Many of your customers would welcome the chance of receiving regular emails from you…all they need is for you to ask.

How it works?

Customers sign up to your RocketResponder subscriber list, where they can receive a series of emails about your business. What is so great about this system, is that as soon as anyone new joins your list, they get the emails you have already written.

There is amazing time efficiency here because you write the emails once and then they go out to everyone who signs up, without anyone ever being missed out.

In addition each time you have something new to say – such as introducing a new menu or a seasonal offer – then you write just one email and it goes to everyone on your subscriber list.

You can encourage people to sign up in many different ways. Some tried and trusted methods include having an opt in form on your website where you ask people to leave their name and email address in order to receive news and offers from you.

Add an email sign up form to comment cards you present to diners with their checks, on your menus and with take away orders. Asking diners to subscribe to your list when they book online is also another great way of adding subscribers to your list.

Remember that everyone who is on your list is there because they want to receive offers from you. They are inviting you to tell them more about your restaurant and why they should come back again to sample your food.

By using email marketing in this way you can nurture a growing base of repeat customers and this is great because it will help increase your income and profit.

Repeat and regular customers have zero cost of acquisition and can often act as unpaid sales members as they are the most likely group of people to recommend your restaurant to friends, co-workers and family members.

RocketResponder has been designed to be simple and easy to use and it also allows you to send out stunning emails without needing any design skills at all.

You can import pictures of your food to our drag and drop template system and use both words and pictures to sell your restaurant and tempt customers back again.

Email Marketing For Real Estate Agents

Email marketing for real estate agentsEmail Marketing For Real Estate Agents: In the real estate industry, getting information out to clients in a timely manner can make all the difference.

It is an industry where communication is as vital to your success as is your knowledge about buying and selling property.

It is no longer good enough to wait for clients to come to you, because that is one sure method to be left behind in a highly competitive marketplace.

These days email marketing is an essential tool for real estate agents and, very often, a preferred method of communication with clients and potential new clients.

Not only it is an ideal way of effectively marketing the properties on your books but it is also an amazingly effective method of marketing your business.

An automated email service, such as RocketResponder, is also an invaluable tool for attracting new clients and obtaining more income from existing clients.

It will also allow you to effectively promote your business, help set you apart from the competition and allow you to be seen as a trusted adviser to your clients.

Attracting New Clients

Let’s face it, there is a lot of competition out there, so every new customer counts and they are not afraid to shop around.

Most of your potential new customers will want to know many of the same things…what you can do for them? how experienced you are in the market? will you will do a good job for them? how efficient are you? can you be trusted? and so on.

You have probably explained these things to people over and over again, but have you considered how email marketing could be of huge benefit to get these messages to your potential new customers?

With RocketResponder you could write a series of emails covering the things that new clients really want to know when deciding on where to place their business.

You do the work once and the emails are sent out to every potential new client who signs up to your email list.

Once the emails are written, there is no more work needed on your part and everybody who joins your email list will receive the information they need about your business.

When email marketing like this is done correctly, then it can really help you convert potential leads into new customers.

Gaining More Income From Existing Clients

Email marketing is also great for informing and reminding existing clients about the full range of services that you provide.

Timely reminders, sent via email, can be that final push that is needed for a customer to take an additional service that might otherwise have slipped their mind (or gone to a competitor).

You can embed links in your emails to take subscribers to the precise page you want them to visit, such as a sales page for the service you are promoting.

Here is an example of one of our many email templates which can be customized with drag-and-drop simplicity:

Email marketing for real estate agents -RocketResponder template example

Promoting your business

Email marketing will allow you to effectively communicate with an audience which has already shown an interest in what you have to say.

Remember that people will sign up for your email list to receive offers, information, details of properties they may be interested in, insider news, time saving tips and much more.

Use email marketing to promote your business and explain why you should be the first choice for the customers you are targeting.

Setting Your Business Apart From The Competition

RocketResponder can help set you apart from the competition by allowing you to give everyone the personal touch they really crave.

You can also showcase your expertise in the market and the knowledge and helpfulness of your staff by sending emails which help your client and, at the same time, highlight the qualities that make you the right choice for buyers and sellers.

The great news is that this does not take up lots of your valuable time because the system is highly automated and about as easy to use as sending regular email.

Become a Trusted Adviser

Building up trust with your customers is probably more important in the real estate industry than many others.

Write emails specifically aimed at buyers, sellers and renters so that your advice is always relevant to your target market.

Moving home can be a highly stressful time and your clients will want to be 100% assured that you will get everything right.

The pointers above gave just some of the ways why using RocketResponder for your email marketing will boost your business and help you gain trust among your client base.

Email Marketing For Small Businesses

Email Marketing For Small Businesses with RocketResponder

If you run a small business then everything you can do to attract new customers and retain existing ones will help your long-term profitability.

One really powerful way of getting the very best out of your customers is email marketing. This is why RocketResponder has taken a lot of care to look at how it provides email marketing for small businesses.

If your competitors are using email marketing and you are not then they may very well be generating more customer spend than you are.

Some reasons that small business owners give for not using email marketing include:

– It sounds too complicated for me, I don’t want to have to learn something new.

– I don’t have time for email marketing because I am too busy running my business.

– I don’t know how to use email marketing. What would I even write about?

– It is just another cost to spiral out of control.

At RocketResponder we know that these are all very real concerns which is why we decided to make email marketing for small businesses simple, quick and easy to use with a fixed price plan so that costs can never spiral out of control.

We know how important email marketing is to small businesses which is why we have come up with a solution which business owners can confidently use to boost their interaction with customers.

Is It Really Not Complicated?

Using RocketResponder is not complicated at all. In fact if you can send regular email then you can use our software to communicate with your entire customer database.

RocketResponder - Email Marketing for Small Businesses

Choose one of our stunning templates and just drag and drop images and text blocks into the email to get a professionally looking email composed without needing to know any coding skills at all.

It might look something like this…

RocketResponder - Email Marketing For Small Businesses

Or this…

An example of a RocketResponder email template

If you prefer you can just send out a simple, text only email without any fancy graphics at all…the choice is totally yours.

One of our top priorities was ensuring that RocketResponder was not difficult to use. It is as simple as writing your email, deciding which list(s) you want to send it to and then choosing when you want to send it.

We also understand that with any new system, people will sometimes run into difficulties so when you need help we are there to get your problem solved quickly and efficiently. This is both easy and fun to use.

But I still don’t have time for email marketing…

There is one thing that virtually all of your customers will have in common…they will want information about the goods or services you provide.

RocketResponder allows you to ensure that every customer gets high quality information from you as soon as they subscribe to your list.

Here’s how it works.

You write a series of emails which will be received by all new customers over a period of days, weeks or months after they subscribe to receive information from you.

These could include a welcome email where you thank them for subscribing, an email introducing yourself and your business, one explaining how they can contact you and where they can get help if things go wrong, another about what set’s you apart, an email or two with useful information about the niche you operate in…that sort of thing.

Just choose the topics you would like to read about if you were a new customer to your business and start writing. (If you don’t like the thought of writing emails, you can outsource this to someone else for very little cost.)

You only have to write these emails once, decide the time interval you want them to be delivered and then every time a new subscriber signs up to your email list they will get the emails delivered without any further work needed on your part.

No customer is missed out and everything you want them to know about your business is communicated to them without you having to interrupt your working day for a moment.

You can also send emails out to your entire list whenever you want…such as when you have an offer or promotion you want to highlight or a special time-limited deal on your website or in store.

RocketResponder is designed to allow efficient communication with your customers while taking up as little of your time as possible.

I still don’t know what to write about…

The section above gave some suggestions about to the kinds of things you could send out in your emails.

If you still need some ideas then just think of the questions that your customers ask all the time.

Is there some advice that new customers want time and time again or some particular information about the products or services you offer? If so, then write about that.

You could send out a regular newsletter to your subscribers, give tips and hints about the industry you work in, use RocketResponder to give exclusive discount codes to your subscribers or to alert them first on red hot offers you have coming up.

Once you start thinking about it you will come up with many ideas for ways to use email to communicate with your customers and potential customers.

I am worried about another uncontrolled business expense…

You can stop worrying. We know that small business owners like to know what their business expenses are going to be ahead of time…so we have taken care of that.

Most email marketing services set their charges based on how many subscribers have joined their list…the more subscribers you attract then the more you pay in monthly fees.

Others will charge based on how many emails you send out and with these price plans it is impossible to calculate how much you will pay in advance.

RocketResponder is much simpler than all that. There is one small monthly flat fee which stays the same regardless of how many people you add to your list or how often you communicate with your subscribers.

Business owners have told us that price certainty is something that is important to them and we have listened.

Small Businesses thrive off repeat customers. People have busy lives and your customers will need to be reminded to comeback and buy from you. The best way to do this is through email.

RocketResponder is like having a sales person who works for you 24 hours a day 7 days a week and who never needs to receive a pay check.

Email subject lines - final selection for now

Email subject lines

Here is the final look at email subject lines for the year – I thought I would give you a break next month with the holidays coming up.

I hope you have enjoyed this series and that your own RocketResponder emails have had improved open rates because you have been taking care with your own subject lines.

So here are the final six for now at least:

  • WOW! This is HOT HOT HOT Right NOW! – Ok well maybe it is “hot hot hot” but it seems like you are trying too hard to convince me. Result: Very offputting and I will move on. Unopened and deleted.

  • Mega Stoon – What is it with two word subject lines which make absolutely no sense at all? Stop doing it. This is driving me crazy. Deleted for the sake of my sanity.

  • sanity – Seriously the very next email which caught my eye had the subject line “sanity” and nothing else. These people are testing my patience.

  • Use this & get new leads instantly! – At last an email I want to open. Notice how I am not told what “this” is. The idea is that I have to open the email to find out. An excellent subject line. I knew there was one out there this month.

  • Alphabet Soup: IPAS & PBAs – I am totally lost already. If the subject line is this confusing then I am highly unlikely to want to find out what the body of the email has in store. Not opened.

  • Patrick Want to do us both a Favor? – Who doesn’t want to do a favor for someone? And who doesn’t like having a favor done for them? So this is an email I would certainly open. As an aside it came from the same person who sent the Alphabet Soup email, so for any given person some subject lines work and others don’t.

Let me know some of your favorite and least favorite subject lines and also let me know what you have thought of this series…and whether you would like to see some more of the same.

Email subject lines - final selection for now

Email subject lines - the examples keep coming

email subject lines

We continue our RocketResponder series on email subject lines with six more examples.

I was asked the other day if these examples are real or whether I have just made them up.

Well I can assure you that every single one of them is 100 per cent genuine.

So here is this month’s selection:

  • Ganhe dinheiro visitando essa pagina – Well as I don’t speak Portuguese I would give this one a miss.

  • Before you join a site you intend to join anyway do it through us… – The problem here is that I don’t know who “us” is and I am not given any real incentive as to why I might want to join a site through the people who sent the email. This just fails to grab me or capture my attention enough to open the email.

  • stuck at start? – This is good. Anyone who feels that they are stuck at the beginning and have no clue what to do next would probably at least consider opening this email. Nicely done.

  • Youve Found Gold $1000-$8000 Commissions: FREE Report – This might be true or it might not be. In any event I don’t believe it so I won’t be clicking on the link. Yes I do make snap decisions when reading a subject line…and so do you.

  • Auto responders – What does that mean? You might as well say “Dog food,” Green paper,” or “Dirty shoes.” Come on you can do better than that!

  • MULTY ONE – Yes that was the subject line. It makes Auto responders sound almost interesting. The point of a subject line is to get the email opened and not to confuse the poor reader.

We will be back next month with some more.

Email subject lines

Thanks to everyone who has said that they enjoy this series of email subject lines blog posts.

We enjoy putting together and we want all RocketResponder users to get the very best possible results out of the service we provide.

Here are six examples of other people’s subject lines to have a look at:

  • Find the Hidden Promo Codes! Then Tell Others! – No! If I find them I am keeping them to myself. It does sound like too much hard work but if I had a bit of time on my hands I might have opened this email. A bit unsure of this one really. This is one of those subject lines where I want to hear your views.

  • *LAUNCH*- HAPPENING NOW** Earn 75% Comm. PAID DAILY – What purpose the four asterisks actually serve is beyond me. And is it only me but does 75 per cent commission put any one else off? I just think that if a program owner has to give away so much of his income then something does not seem quite right. Not a chance of me ever clicking this email. Deleted.

  • RE-LAUNCH! Cash JackPot Points! 2 Level Commissions Now @VLD! – I don’t have the faintest idea what this is about and I am not going to waste any time trying to find out. Terrible subject line.

  • Patrick Join Us for Wonderful Wednesday Webinars – This just works. Wonderful Wednesday Webinars is the phrase which makes me open up the email. A winner.

  • Ahhh F**K THIS! – This is, without doubt, the worst subject line I have ever read. It was so bad that I replied to the guy who sent it and told him never to contact me again. There is just no excuse for this kind of language. No matter how good your offer is or how ideally suited it is for me, if you put this kind of email in my inbox I will never want to do business with you.

  • SafeList With a Twist – and a Cycler! – This was winning for me until the part about the cycler. SafeList With a Twist is all that was needed to capture my attention enough to open the email. Know to quit when you are ahead. Sometimes less really is more.

Meet back here same time next month for another look at this fascinating subject (if you excuse the terrible pun that is.)

email subject lines

How are your RocketResponder emails coming along?

If you have been following this series you should really be thinking about your subject lines now.

How many of these people put enough thought into their own subject lines do you think?

  • What can we do for you? – I like this as it puts the recipient of the email right at the heart of the message. It got the email opened and once inside the sender wasted no time in explaining what his program could do. I would only have changed it to read “Look what we can do for you…” just to avoid someone answering the question with the answer “nothing” and clicking delete. My change avoids the negative altogether and turns the subject line into a call to action which has the subtext – “Open this email to find out what we can do for you.” Good subject line. Liked it a lot.

  • Patrick Here is an Extremely Simple Business Model that WORKS! – Love the message, hate the grammar. The mixture of capital letters and lower case letters is off putting and the random all capital word at the end is even more so. This detracts from what is actually a very powerful marketing message. I will forgive the grammar errors and open it any way. Works for me.

  • LibertaGia – If your subject line looks like a spelling mistake I won’t open the email. Deleted already.

  • ListJumper == High CTR! – I know what ListJumper is and I know what CTR stands for. However take a step back when you write a subject line. If I didn’t already know these terms then this would mean nothing to me at all. As for the two equals signs in the middle I have no idea what that is all about. Not a great subject line by any means but I have seen worse. I wouldn’t be tempted to use it.

  • WARNING .. highly addictive! – That is all it would take to get me to open this email. Remember all you want to do is build up enough curiosity to get the email opened. In this case three words is all that is needed. Best of the month.

  • Let Me Show You The Way – Yes, this works too. Hooked in six words this time. The internet can be a daunting, scary place, especially for the new and inexperienced. Why would you not want someone to show you the way? Opened.

I am off on the look out for some more now, see you back here in a month.

mastering email subject lines

Mastering email subject lines: It is the last Friday of the month which means it must be time for some more RocketResponder subject lines.

Here is another selection of genuine subject lines that people have thought fit to grace their emails.

As usual some work better than others:

  • I had to read this twice… – This is a sure fire winner for me. You could use this about virtually anything and have a good chance of getting your message opened. Hints of something exciting, different, extraordinary…it has got me hooked.

  • __________How_to_Make_50K_Monthly______No_Monthly_Fees____Pays_Weekly__ – Yes this is honestly how the subject line was written. I don’t think I have ever seen anything like it before. What a mess. And, before you ask, no I didn’t open it.

  • Patrick LUCK / KARMA do you BELIEVE? L@@K – If your subject line looks like it was written with a random word generator then I will give it a miss. Unopened. Dreadfully bad.

  • Clixsense – Is that all you are giving me? I am all in favor of keeping things short but give me a bit better than that. What about this instead: “Want Cents. Make Cents. Clixsense.”

  • No More Joining No Moere False Promises! – And no more spell checker by the looks of things either. Apart from the spelling mistake which should have been corrected, this is not a bad subject line. Anyone who has been online for any length of time will know that “false promises” are all too common. This writer knows their audience. Yes I would open this.

  • Got a Minute? – No I am far too busy, go away. I think most of us could spare a minute or so if someone asked us nicely. Short. Catchy. Clever. It works for me. Best of the month (however the standard is particularly low this month.)

Let’s meet back at the same place in a month for some more.

mastering email subject lines

mastering email subject lines: The RocketResponder email subject line series keeps on coming…it is hard to believe that another month has passed already.

Just where has this year gone? Hopefully your email marketing campaign is working well for you but there is always room to improve.

See what you think of these half dozen subject lines which were randomly culled from our inbox:

  • Buy 1 year of hosting get the 2nd year FREE! – This is from the ‘tell it like it is’ school of subject line writing. You know exactly what you will get when you open this email. If you don’t need a hosting deal right now then there is no need for you to look at the email at all but if you do then you might be very tempted to take a look inside. Don’t be afraid to try out this approach from time to time.

  • INVITATION to EARN thousands of DOLLARS ! – Since when does anyone need an invitation to earn money? Also the random capital letters and the unnecessary apostrophe make the entire message sound a touch desperate. I would pass this one by. It fails to excite me at all. #Fail

  • We Just Went Viral!!! We Took The Only Top Spot In The World – Really? How very nice for you but what has this got to do with me and why should I even care? Let me put it another way. I don’t care about you, I care about me, so make the subject line about me next time. I wouldn’t have opened this email.

  • Hurry ! Scurry ! best EVA positioning NOW – This started off really well and then they only had to go and spoil everything. I don’t know what EVA positioning is and I don’t have time to find out either. This one can pass me by. I think this opening would have been so much better if it said: “Hurry! Scurry! Never Have to Worry!” instead.

  • ~~fname~Well Save You From the Sharks! – Oops someone didn’t use the test email function before pressing send. So you got the personalization wrong; I assume you mean “We’ll

Save You…” and not “Well Save You…” which makes no sense. Also if you are going to use every word in capitals then the lower case “the” stands out for all the wrong reasons. Finally an unnecessary apostrophe just to make this subject line disaster complete. 0/10 Dismal.

  • V TEN Leverages Traffic of TEs Mailers Blogs & Popular Sites – It very well may do but this subject line sends me to sleep. I would enter it in the “worst subject line of the year” awards but that’s about it. Another poor effort but still miles ahead of the previous entry.

Let’s meet back here in a month’s time and do it all over again.

Email subject lines - real life examples

mastering email subject lines

Mastering email subject lines: Hopefully by now you are getting good with your RocketResponder subject lines.

Have a look at this latest selection and see whether you agree with our assessment or not:

  • No Cost Leads – [Video] – Wow, someone really pushed the boat out with this one. So if I open this email I will have to watch a sales video of some sort. The only question on my mind is how much will these “no cost leads” really cost me. Totally off putting so I won’t be opening this one.

  • Welcome to the Most Advanced Mailing System on This Planet! – I have been using traffic exchanges for long enough to know exactly what program this refers to. I would bet that this is copied and pasted from the “affiliate resource” section of the membership site in question. It is a good subject line but it is often a good idea to use something unique rather than a subject line which is shared with the entire membership. On the other hand if a subject line is good enough to get the job done then there is no harm in giving it a go. I like this subject line.

  • This Little Ebay Selling Trick Blew My Mind… – I love this, absolutely love it because if you are the least but curious you will want to know: “What trick is this, tell me more. You must tell me more now.”

Note that this could work with a variety of different subjects because it follows this formula: “This Little [insert subject here] Trick Blew My Mind…” So you could say somerthing like “This Little RocketResponder Tip Blew My Mind…” or “This Little ListNerds Secret Strategy Blew My Mind…”

  • Patrick Joe Freyaldenhoven reveals the secret of his success – Maybe I am missing something here but who is Joe Freyaldenhoven? Also personalizing the message is confusing here unless the guy who is revealing his secrets is actually called Patrick Joe Freyaldenhoven. I would prefer something like: “I Am Ultra Successful: This Is My Secret…”

  • A Must Have Tool for ANY Affiliate! – Seven short words and every one a winner. Would I open this? Of course I would. I really want to know what this email is promoting. #Winning.

  • No Recruiting No Cost No Kidding – The repeated use of the word “No” gets a big “Yes” from me. It is catchy and has me asking what it is all about so I want to open the email and find out more. You can also use this for yourself. Just add your own subjects. No [x] No [y] No [z]

Don’t forget there will be another selection next month.

Why Email Marketing Services Will Give Your Membership Site A Boost

Email Marketing Services

Email Marketing Top Tips. Did you know that email marketing services (something called mass mailing or mass emailing services) can really give your membership sites a massive boost?

In fact using mass mailing – always with permission to do so – is a really very powerful way to get so much more out of a membership site.

When we are talking about a membership site here, we mean any type of website where people typically pay to gain access to all or part of the site. There are also membership sites where people can join for free and others where there is no free element and all members are paid members.

Regardless of the exact type of site in question, they all have one thing in common and that is that using email marketing services – such as an autoresponder like RocketResponder – can dramatically boost activity.

Most people understand that sending out email newsletters to subscribers is powerful but not everyone takes the time to do so. There may be a feeling that it is too complicated, or to much like hard work or just too time consuming to set up and manage.

RocketResponder was set up to remove all these obstacles so that sending out a newsletter was just about as simple as sending an email to your friends. Now, if you own or manage any type of membership site,  there is no excuse any more not to use the power of email to get more traffic and activity for very little effort indeed.

Convert free members into paid members

Do you have a mixture of free and paid members? Then use the followup email feature to encourage your paid members to convert into paid members.

The followup series – typically delivered over a few days or weeks – will point out all the advantages of moving over to the paid option and this can be amazingly effective at doing so without the need for any ‘hard sell’ at all.

People generally hate missing out on things…it is just human nature. So why not remind them that while their free membership is good, there is so much more that they are missing out on by not taking advantage of your paid membership level or levels.

Another cool thing is that the RocketResponder API will automatically unsubscribe them from the free list the moment they upgrade.

This means that they won’t get any more ‘upgrade now’ type messages and instead can get more targeted emails to suit their needs, such as tips on how to get the most our of the paid memership features they have signed up for.

Remember that this can be used in any kind of membership site, especially when there is a free trial or a free tier involved.

Finally everyone on your email list will have given you permission to contact them, and confirmed their email address, so that this form of mass mailing (mass emailing) is certainly not spam.

We very strongly believe that nobody should get emailed from a business without permission and as long as email marketers follow that rule then they should not go far wrong.

Email subject lines - another six real life examples

Choosing Email Subject lines

Choosing email subject lines. You should know by now that at RocketResponder we love our subject lines.

Get them right every time to get your emails opened. Put at least as much thought (if not more) into your subject line as you do to the main body of the email.

Here are another six subject lines which caught my eye this month…

  • Sunday – take a rest breath deep in your chest – Ok well I have no idea what any of that means but on this occasion it doesn’t matter. Rhyming “rest” with “chest” means some thought has gone into this and I am wondering what it is all about. I would open this. Well done.

  • CLIXSENSE AWSOME PTC!!!!! – Three words and three huge red flags for me. All capitals – wrong. Spelling mistake – wrong. Five apostrophes – wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong. Awful subject line – worst of the bunch this month without any doubt.

  • Disappointed with ListNerds? Have you tried.. – This is the “ask a question, then leave them hanging” approach to subject line writing. Highly effective. Works very well. Try this technique for yourself. Best of the bunch this month.

  • You upgrade… you get your ads seen on me! – The opposite of the example above but not in terms of effectiveness. This tells you exactly what you can expect to find in the email. I would expect this to be a cool incentive to upgrade in a program from either an owner or a switched-on affiliate. Either way I would open it to find out more.

  • Internet marketing with a cube. Get free UNLIMITED traffic for ever!!! – I am actually unsure what I think about this one. It is a bit long, I hate the three apostrophes (only ever use one, and even then only if you really must) but the use of capitals works. It sounds as though it may be a bit complicated or gimmicky (what is marketing with a cube all about?) but I probably would open it to find out more. What do you think of this subject line?

  • My Favorite Promotion Product – This is good. If I have signed up to someone’s list then it follows that I have at least some interest in what you have to say. So by telling me you have a favorite promotion product and leaving it at that I am going to open the email and find out more. A real winner. Excellent subject line.

Look out for more subject lines next month.

Why You Might Want to Prune Your Subscriber List

Your Subscriber List

If you have been building your list for any period of time it is a good bet that you will have a varied group of people on your subscriber list.

It is likely that they could fit into the following categories:

  • super fans – open all or almost all of your emails, click on links and take the action you want them to take

  • fans – open most of your emails and click on your links more often than not

  • lukewarm subscribers – open some of your emails and click your links sometimes

  • cold subscribers – open the occasional email but rarely, if ever, click anything

  • dead subscribers – no activity at all.

Don’t think twice about removing inactive people from your subscriber list, rather like you would remove dead leaves from a plant.

The cold subscribers are good candidates for pruning too – especially if they used to open your emails in the past but have stopped doing so for a few months or so.

The benefits of this include:

  • you are no longer sending emails to people who don’t want to hear from you any more

  • you reduce the likelihood of getting spam complaints from people who are on your list but had forgotten they had signed up

  • your overall open rates will increase as you will have a smaller but more responsive list.

  • if you have a very large list it could end up saving you money in reduced fees.

Why You Might Want to Prune Your Subscriber List

Subject Lines Don"t Need To Be Personalised

Subject Lines

Sometimes people agonize over whether they should personalize their email subject lines.

I am not sure that adding the recipient’s name to the subject line generally adds very much value, if any at all.

Of course it is good to add the name to the main body of the email but do you really want to do so in the subject line as well?

The danger of adding a name so the subject line is that makes the email have too much of a marketing feel to it.

It can put the thought in the recipient’s mind: “I am going to get pitched here. I don’t want to know,” and that is is exactly the opposite effect you want it to have.

Remember that the only purpose of the subject line is to get your email opened in the first place, so spend your time in making it captivating and engaging instead.

But if you really want to personalize a subject line then go ahead and try it. Do some split testing and chart the results to see how your open rates are effected.

Subject Lines Don"t Need To Be Personalised
